On October 5, 2012, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering and larceny at a residence on South Creek Road in Aurora, NC. The victim reported soft shell crabs were stolen out of a freezer on the property. On October 20th, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering at a camper on South Creek Road in Aurora. The victim reported food was stolen from the camper. On October 21, 2012 at approximately 11:00 pm, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering and larceny which had already occurred at a residence on Vinegar Hill Road in Aurora, NC. Deputies responded to the scene and began an investigation. A shotgun was reported stolen from the residence.On October 22, 2012 at approximately 9:00 am, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
received a report of a breaking and entering and larceny which had already occurred at a residence on Jarvis Landing Road in Aurora, NC. Deputies responded to the residence to begin an investigation and collect evidence. Upon arrival at the residence, Investigator Jim Adams located the suspect inside the residence. The suspect exited the residence and fled into a wooded area. A foot chase ensued and other Deputies responded to the area to assist in a search. The suspect could not be located at that time.As a result of information and evidence collected during the investigations, Investigator Jim Adams applied for and obtained warrants charging David Bradley Snell, age 36, of South Seventh Street in Aurora, NC with four counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, four counts of Larceny after Breaking and Entering, one count of Obtaining Property by False
Pretense, one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and one count of Resisting a Public Officer.
Snell was arrested by the Aurora Police Department during a traffic stop near First Street in Aurora on the evening of October 22nd. Snell was transported to the Magistrate’s Office and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under $51,500.00 in secured bonds. Snell is a suspect in other B&E investigations that are on-going. Additional charges are possible.
