On July 7, 2012 at approximately 10:53 am, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny from Robinson Road in Washington.  Deputies responded to the scene and began an investigation. Deputies learned the suspect stole farming plows from the victim’s property and sold the items to a recycling company in Vanceboro, NC.
As a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Scott Williams applied for and obtained a warrant charging Lacey Wayland Rowe, age 45, of Old New Bern Road in Chocowinity with Felony Larceny, and Obtaining Property by False Pretense. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the victim.  On July 20, 2012, Rowe was arrested by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.  He was taken before Magistrate
Jasper Mills and released on a $10,000 unsecure bond.
