Cortez Donte Pope and Darrin De'von Davenport Charged with Felony Breaking and Entering and Felony Larceny

On March 4, 2012, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny that occurred at a residence on River Road in Washington, NC.  The victim reported several items stolen including a TV.  The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews. During the investigation, the Plymouth Police Department shared information about break-ins and thefts that had occurred in the Plymouth area that were related to the River Road case.
As a result, Investigator Wesley Waters applied for and obtained warrants charging Cortez Donte Pope, age 18, of Union Town Road in Jamesville and Darrin De’von Davenport, age 18, of Old US Highway 64  in Jamesville with one(1) count each of  Felony Breaking and Entering and one(1) count each of Felony Larceny. 
On July 8, 2012, Pope and Davenport were served with the warrants by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at the Washington County Detention Center where they were already in custody.  Pope and Davenport were held on an additional $10,000.00 secured bonds for the Beaufort County charges.
