Whereabouts of Marquel Levett Warren Sought

On January 11, 2018, shortly after 10pm Beaufort County Deputies responded to the report of a person shot at a residence on Jack Street in the Mimosa Mobile Home Park in Washington. Deputies arrived to find a 34 yr. old male victim shot multiple times. Deputies secured the scene and quickly summoned Broad Creek EMS to treat the victim.

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Investigators also responded to begin their investigation. After collecting physical evidence and interviewing multiple witnesses Investigators learned multiple people were hanging out in the home
when an argument began between the victim and 29 yr. old Marquel Levette Warren of Washington. During the argument Warren pulled a gun and shot the victim. The two continued to struggle and the victim was shot again. Warren then fled the scene.

Sheriff’s Investigators have charged Warren with 2 counts of Assault With a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Warren, who was already wanted for 1 count of Assault by Pointing a Gun and Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of Breaking and Entering, is still at large and should be considered armed
and dangerous.

The victim in this case was later transferred to Vidant Pitt and was expected to undergo surgery.
