On August 22, 2012, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fraud that occurred at a residence on Bonnerton Road in Aurora, NC.  The victim reported two white males and a black male came to their residence in a van selling meat.  The victim described the van as light in color with color images of meat on the sides.  The victim reported one of the suspects acted as if they were putting the meat she had purchased in the victim’s freezer while
she was paying the other suspect.  The victim later discovered that only two small items, much
less than she paid for, had been placed in her freezer.  During the investigation, the Sheriff’s
Office learned that a similar incident had occurred at another residence in the area.
If you have any information on this case or have been a victim of this crime, please call Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at (252)946-7111 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at (252)974-6400. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to an arrest. Callers do not have to give their name to receive a reward.
