Thomas Hugh Ashley Charged with Indecent Liberties with a Child

On December 9th, 2011, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report indicating that an adult male had exposed himself to juveniles that were walking by his home on Hillingdale Drive in Washington, NC. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and
conducted interviews.
On July 16th, 2012, Lieutenant Jamie Cahoon presented the investigation to the Beaufort
County Grand Jury.  Four True Bills of Indictment were returned against Thomas Hugh Ashley, Jr., age 50, of Hillingdale Drive in Washington, NC. Hugh was charged with four counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child.  He was arrested on July 25th and brought before Magistrate David Curtis and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $50,000.00 secured bond.
