Simon Allen Hardison Sr Charged with Sexual Battery

On May 27, 2012 at approximately 9:50 pm, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
responded to a report of a sexual assault at a residence on Mill Road in Washington. Deputies
responded to the scene and learned the suspect had left the area. Deputies began an investigation
and located the suspect on Cherry Run Road. After a short foot chase, he was arrested for
Resisting a Public Officer and later released after posting bond.
As a result of information gathered during the follow-up investigation, Investigator Jim Adams applied for and obtained a warrant charging the suspect, Simon Allen Hardison Sr., age 51, of Cherry Run Road in Washington, NC with Sexual Battery. Hardison is still at large.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Simon Hardison Sr. is asked to contact the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at (252)946-7111 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at (252)974-6400. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000.00 for information leading to his arrest.  Callers do not have to give their name to receive a reward.
