On April 10, 2012, members of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Deequan Jaheed McKinney, age 21, of 702 Boston Avenue Washington. McKinney’s arrest stemmed from members of the Drug Unit conducting controlled purchases of cocaine and marijuana from McKinney. McKinney was serving a probation sentence with the Department of Community Corrections stemming from prior drug related convictions when the controlled purchases were conducted.
McKinney was charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver
Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine and three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. McKinney was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
